Railway bridge at Solkan

The famous railway bridge over the river Soča at Solkan. The bridge has 85m main arch span which makes it the largest stone arch railway bridge in the world. The bridge was built in 1905 and the traffic of the second railway connection of Vienna and Central Europe with the port of Trieste began to run back in 1906. The Austrian State Railway Company began constructing the bridge in the spring of 1903 to the plan of engineer Rudolf Jaussner. It was formally opened in 1906 by Archduke Franz Ferdinand. In the First World War the main arch was destroyed. After that the Italians who had occupied the territory, began renovations of the bridge.
Today the bridge is managed by Slovenia’s National Railway Company and in 1985 it was proclaimed a technical monument.
On the other bridge you can jump from it is the only one Bungee center in Slovenia. The bridge is situated close to the town, over the Soča river. The bridge height is 55 meters. It's a real challenge for those, who like adrenaline and facing the fear!
A jump with an elastic rope, is a sports activity enrapturing more and more people all over the world.

Barcelona beautiful city

I found a blog to the Technorati search. The blogs name is Barcelona Photoblog. Like the name already shows us the blog is about the Spanish city Barcelona which I visited ten times so far. The blog is consisted of photos which are taken daily from the Barcelona downtown and it is seaside. The blog is done very well and it is very easy to search through it because of the photo archive where you can find photo albums classified by month. For example if you want to see what is going on in Barcelona in October you click on it and you will get a lot of photos about things that happens there at this time (Halloween photos…). The blog also gives you a chance to drop a comment on every single photo you want.
I think that I didn't see a lot of things yet so I'm looking forward for my next holidays to revisit this beautiful city. I love Barcelona:)!
